1905: The “Royal Coach Museum” was inaugurated in Lisbon by initiative of Queen Amélia (Wife of King Carlos I)

1911: The museum changes its name to National Coach Museum

1940: Inauguration of a new showroom (designed by the architect Raul Lino) allowing the exhibition of more vehicles (due to lack of space, not the whole collection yet)

2015: Inauguration of the actual building
